About Our Concierge Bespoke Service:

  • What is a concierge bespoke suit service?

A concierge bespoke suit service elevates the traditional tailoring experience by delivering unparalleled personalization and convenience directly to you.

The term “bespoke” signifies that each garment is meticulously crafted to be entirely unique to the individual. Unlike ready-to-wear or made-to-measure options, our process begins with an extensive consultation and the taking of 20-30 precise body measurements. From these, a distinct paper pattern is drafted exclusively for you, ensuring an impeccable fit that perfectly complements your physique. Furthermore, every element of the suit is customizable, from the selection of lapel style and pocket design to the subtle choice of buttonhole thread colour, allowing for a garment that is a true reflection of your personal taste.

The “concierge” aspect of our service lies in bringing this entire bespoke experience to your preferred location, whether it be your home or office. We eliminate the need for you to visit a traditional storefront. Instead, our tailoring professionals travel to you, equipped with an extensive collection of fine fabric swatches, premium shirting options, and diverse lining selections. This allows you to design your ideal suit in a comfortable, private, and familiar environment, ensuring a luxury experience that is as convenient as it is personalized.

During this initial meeting, we will discuss your style preferences, showcase fabric selections, and explain the bespoke process in detail. Only once you are entirely satisfied with the proposed design, your measurements have been taken, and you are ready to proceed, will we then arrange for payment before your custom order is meticulously crafted.

  • What can I expect during the initial consultation?

A:  The Bespoke Suit Journey Step-By-Step

  1. A) Initial Consultation & Design Discussion
  •  Appointment: You’ll start by scheduling an appointment with us Discussion of Needs & Style: This is a crucial conversation. You’ll discuss:
  • Purpose of the suit: Is it for business, a wedding, special events, or everyday wear?
  • Your personal style: What kind of look are you aiming for (classic, modern, bold)? Bring inspiration photos if you have them.
  • Preferences: Do you have specific likes or dislikes regarding fit, fabric feel, or details?
  • Lifestyle: How often will you wear it? Do you travel frequently with it?
  • Fabric Selection: You’ll be guided through an extensive selection of fabric swatches (often hundreds or thousands) from various mills. You’ll consider:
  • Material: Wool (various weights and weaves like worsted, flannel, tweed), cashmere, silk, linen, cotton, or blends.
  • Color & Pattern: Solid, pinstripe, check, herringbone, etc.
  • Weight & Seasonality: Heavier fabrics for winter, lighter ones for summer.
  • Styling Details: You’ll decide on every element of the suit’s design: Jacket, coats, trousers, shoes.
  • Initial Measurements: Our tailor will take a comprehensive set of measurements (often 20+). These are much more detailed than for off-the-rack or made-to-measure and will also note your posture, shoulder slope, and any other unique physical characteristics.
    B) Pattern Creation (The Blueprint)
    • Drafting: Using your precise measurements and style choices, the master cutter will hand-draft a unique paper pattern exclusively for you. This pattern is the blueprint for your suit and is what distinguishes bespoke from made-to-measure (which uses existing blocks of pre-sized fabric).  The suit is then sewn together in the factory by our artisan tailors made perfectly to your given measurements. The suit will then be sent to us for the first fitting.

      C) First Fitting
We will bring the suit to you for a personal fitting. While we aim for a perfect fit on the first try, this fitting allows us to ensure optimal comfort and that the suit drapes flawlessly on your frame. This fitting is for final tweaks and minor adjustments to ensure perfection. It’s about confirming button placement, final sleeve and trouser lengths, and any subtle refinements. If any alterations are needed, our skilled local tailor will expertly complete them.

    • D) Final Fitting/Pressing & Final Touches
    • Typically, we will have your suit dry-cleaned and pressed after the tailor has made your necessary alterations.
    • In the final fitting we will ensure all of the alterations made by the local tailor sit well in this final version of your suit and with a dry cleaned, pressed suit, everything is flawless and ready to be worn.

  • Do I need to prepare anything for my consultation?

A: While no specific preparation is strictly necessary for your consultation, you are welcome to bring along any items that might help articulate your vision.

If you are looking to coordinate with a particular color scheme, such as for a wedding or event, bringing physical color swatches can be very beneficial. Similarly, if you have specific design ideas, photographs, or preferences in mind for your suit, please feel free to share these with our stylists during your appointment.

Otherwise, simply come as you are. Your presence and your opinions are the most crucial elements we need to begin crafting your perfectly tailored garment. Our experts are here to guide you through every step, even if you don’t have a definitive idea at the moment.

The Bespoke Process:

Q: What does “bespoke” truly mean? How is it different from “made-to-measure” or “off-the-rack”?

A: Understanding the distinctions between these terms is key to appreciating the unique quality and personalization inherent in a bespoke garment.

  • Bespoke: This represents the pinnacle of tailoring and personalization. When you commission a bespoke garment, a unique pattern is drafted entirely from scratch, specifically for you, based on an extensive series of detailed measurements (often 20 or more). This meticulous process allows our tailor to account for every nuance of your posture and physique, ensuring an unparalleled fit. With bespoke, you have virtually limitless control over every detail – from the choice of fabric and lining to the style of lapels, pockets, buttons, and even the type of stitching. The process typically involves multiple fittings to refine the garment to perfection. The term “bespoke” itself historically refers to fabric that has “been spoken for” by a client.

  • Made-to-Measure (MTM): A made-to-measure garment offers a step up from off-the-rack in terms of fit and customization, but it is not the same as bespoke. MTM starts with an existing standard block pattern, which is then adjusted according to a few of your key measurements. While you will have some options for fabric and certain style details, the degree of customization and the precision of the fit are less comprehensive than with bespoke. Fewer fittings are typically involved.

  • Off-the-Rack (or Ready-to-Wear): This refers to clothing that is mass-produced in standardized sizes (e.g., 40R, 42L) and sold as finished items. Off-the-rack garments are designed to fit a generic idea of a body shape within a certain size. While convenient, they often require significant alterations to achieve even a passable fit, and offer no customization beyond what is presented.

In essence, while off-the-rack offers immediate availability and made-to-measure provides some level of personalization, bespoke offers a truly unique garment, unparalleled fit, and complete creative control, crafted exclusively for you. Our concierge service ensures this highest level of tailoring is delivered with utmost convenience and personal attention.

  • How many fittings are typically required?

A: We typically require only one to two fittings to achieve the perfect fit for your bespoke garment.

Thanks to the comprehensive and detailed measurements taken during your initial consultation, the margin for adjustments is usually very small—often just a matter of one to two centimeters in specific areas. Consequently, many of our clients find their suit fits perfectly at the very first fitting.

Should any refinements be necessary, these are carefully noted during this first fitting. We then entrust your garment to our expert local tailor who meticulously performs the required alterations. Once these adjustments are completed, we arrange a final fitting. This session not only confirms the perfected fit but also allows us to put the finishing touches on your ensemble, offering you the opportunity to select matching cufflinks and ties to visualize the complete look.

  • Where are your suits actually made?

A: The creation of your suit involves a carefully curated global process to ensure the highest quality materials and craftsmanship.

Our fine fabrics are predominantly sourced from esteemed mills in Italy, the UK, parts of South East Asia, as well as Australia, selected for their superior quality and texture. The intricate process of cutting the fabric and assembling your suit is then carried out at our dedicated factory in Bangkok, Thailand, where our skilled artisans bring your unique design to life.

Finally, all post-production alterations and finishing touches are meticulously handled locally by our expert tailor here in Colorado Springs. This ensures that the final fit is absolutely perfect and meets our exacting standards before the garment is presented to you.

  • Can you replicate a suit I already own or a style I’ve seen?

A: Absolutely. We are highly proficient at recreating garments. Whether you have a beloved suit you wish to duplicate or have found inspiration from a style you’ve seen in a store, online, or in a photograph, we can certainly assist.

Please bring the existing garment or any relevant images and concepts to your consultation. Our stylists will work closely with you to understand the specific details and nuances you wish to capture. We will then craft a perfect recreation, meticulously tailored to your precise measurements and individual physique, ensuring your vision is brought to life.

Pricing & Payment:

  • Q: How much does a bespoke suit cost? What are the starting prices?

A: The cost of a bespoke suit from our business is structured through carefully curated packages, which you can explore in detail on our “Pricing and Collections” page (https://stevepariani.com/steve-pariani-bespoke-suits-collections-and-pricing-page/).

Our starting price for a bespoke suit package is $1,100. This is part of our Designer Collection, which typically includes one bespoke suit (either 2-piece or 3-piece) along with accompanying items such as a bespoke shirt and a tie, or other variations as detailed on our pricing page.

The price of our single suit packages can range from that $1,100 starting point up to $3,500 for our Luxury Collection packages, which also include a suit and other premium items like bespoke shoes. We also offer packages that include multiple suits, providing progressively greater value.

Several key factors influence the price of your bespoke suit:

  • Fabric Collection (Designer, Premium, Luxury): This is the primary determinant of the package price.
    • Fabric Material/Blend: The type of fibers used, such as wool, cashmere, silk, linen, or blends, significantly impacts cost.
    • Fabric Origin: Fabrics sourced from renowned mills in specific regions can command higher prices due to their quality and reputation.
    • Thread Count: Generally, a higher thread count indicates a finer, more luxurious, and often more expensive fabric.
    • Fabric Weight: The weight of the fabric, suitable for different climates and occasions, can also affect the price.
  • Construction and Complexity: As a bespoke service, each suit is crafted with a unique pattern and meticulous attention to detail. More complex designs or specific construction requirements can influence the final cost, though our package pricing is designed to be inclusive.

For a comprehensive breakdown of what each package includes across our Designer, Premium, and Luxury fabric collections, please visit our “Pricing and Collections” page. This will give you a clear understanding of the options available to create a suit perfectly tailored to your preferences and needs.

  • What is included in the price of a bespoke suit?

  • Initial Consultation: A dedicated session to discuss your needs, preferences, style, and fabric choices.

          Fit, Alterations & Aftercare:

          • What if I gain or lose weight after my suit is made? Can it be altered?
Yes, we understand that body shapes can change over time, and our bespoke suits are designed with adaptability in mind. Here’s how we address potential weight gain or loss:

          • For Expected Weight Loss: If you anticipate losing weight, we often recommend having your suit trousers made with an adjustable waistband. This feature provides immediate flexibility for minor shifts in weight.
          • For Weight Gain: We proactively include extra fabric allowance within the seams of our garments. This means that if you gain weight, a tailor can typically “let out” the suit to accommodate the change.
          • For Weight Loss (Beyond Adjustable Waistband): Having a garment taken in due to weight loss is generally a straightforward alteration for a skilled tailor.
          • Our Local Tailor & Updated Measurements: We work with a local tailor for such adjustments. If any alterations are made due to weight changes, our tailor will take note of your new measurements. This is beneficial because if you decide to order a new suit in the future, we will already have your most up-to-date measurements on file, ensuring a continued perfect fit.
          • So, rest assured that your bespoke suit can typically be altered to accommodate moderate changes in your weight.
          • What is your policy on alterations after the suit is completed? Are they included?
Our policy on alterations distinguishes between those made during the initial creation of your suit and those requested after the suit has been completed and delivered.
          • Alterations During Suit Creation: Any necessary alterations identified during your fittings, as part of the initial bespoke suit creation process, are included free of charge. We ensure your suit fits perfectly before final delivery.
          • Alterations After Final Delivery: If you require alterations on your suit at a later date (for example, if you lose or gain weight a year later and need the suit adjusted), we are happy to refer you to our trusted local tailor. They can gladly make any necessary adjustments for you.
            • However, please note that any alterations needed after the final delivery and acceptance of your suit are the financial responsibility of the client.

We strive for a perfect fit from the outset, but we are here to guide you if future adjustments become necessary.

          • How do I care for my bespoke suit to ensure its longevity?

          Steve Pariani Garment Care

Proper maintenance is key to preserving the quality and drape of your finely crafted Steve Pariani suits and separates. Please follow these guidelines:

          Recommended Dry Cleaning:

We advise using Super Quality Dry-Cleaners (https://www.sqcleaners.com/) for expert care. Important: Instruct staff to use minimal moisture during dry cleaning. Our suits feature natural fibers and internal canvassing; excess moisture can cause bubbling. Super Quality Dry Cleaners is experienced with such garments.

          Shirt Care:

Our 100% cotton or linen shirts are best dry cleaned or laundered with light/medium starch. This helps maintain structure and freshness, especially for travel.

          Suit Cleaning Frequency:

Dry clean suits 2-4 times annually, depending on wear frequency.

          Maximizing Suit Life:

For frequent wear, consider an additional pair of trousers to alternate with the jacket, significantly extending the suit’s lifespan.

          Alternative Dry Cleaners (Colorado Springs):

If Super Quality Dry-Cleaners is not accessible:

          • European Dry Cleaners: 802 Arcturus Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 | (719) 473-7476
          • Tide Cleaners: Consult their website or local listings for Colorado Springs locations.

            • Extreme Cases: In the rare and extreme case that adjustments alone cannot achieve the desired fit and your complete satisfaction, we will even remake the garment for you.

Your satisfaction with the fit is paramount, and we will work diligently with you to ensure your bespoke clothing meets your expectations and our high standards.

            • Schedule a convenient date and time to come to your workplace or a preferred location.
            • Conduct a group styling session, offering expert advice to your employees.
            • Individually measure each employee interested in ordering.
            • Record their personal fabric selections and styling choices.
            • Consolidate these into a group order.

As mentioned in our previous FAQ answer regarding group services, businesses can also take advantage of our group discounts:

            • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy for appointments?
We understand that plans can sometimes change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24-48 hours’ notice before your scheduled appointment time.

            • For cancellations, we prefer at least 24 hours’ notice.
            • For rescheduling, providing 48 hours’ notice allows us to better accommodate your request and manage our schedule as we require a 48 hour notice on appointment booking.
